[WillyWoo: The Current Cycle Of Altcoins Is Dominated By Meme Coins, And Retail Investors May Have Understood The Nature Of Insider Games] According To TechFlow, On October 26, Cryptocurrency Analyst Willy Woo Posted On The Social Platform X That After Studying The Performance Of More Than 10,000 Altcoins, It Was Found That The Current Cryptocurrency Market Is Experiencing The Third Significant Cycle Since 2017, And This Cycle Presents Completely Different Characteristics From Previous Periods. The First Cycle Began In 2017, When Altcoins First Entered The Mainstream Vision, Causing A Large Number Of Retail Investors To Suffer Losses. The Second Cycle Occurred Between 2020 And 21, Dominated By The "innovation Wave" Of DeFi And NFT, Which Once Again Caused Large-scale Losses For Retail Investors. The Current Third Cycle Is Dominated By Meme Coins. "Unlike The Previous Two Cycles, Meme Coins Do Not Pretend To Be Disruptive World-class Technology, But Frankly Show Their Speculative Nature," Woo Pointed Out, "This May Mean That Retail Investors Are Finally Beginning To Understand The Risks. After All, People Usually Need Three Lessons To Truly Learn From Experience." Regarding Bitcoin's Dominance, Woo Believes That The Market Is Still Looking For A Long-term Equilibrium. He Said That Although Small And Medium-sized Altcoins Will Still See An Upward Trend After The Rise In Bitcoin Prices, The Intensity Of This "altcoin Season" May Weaken From Cycle To Cycle. He Especially Reminded Investors That There Is A Bias In The Calculation Of Altcoin Market Capitalization, Because This Indicator Only Reflects The Sum Of Successful Projects, While Failed Projects Are Not Included. For Investment Advice, Woo Reminded Investors That They Should Never Hold Altcoins Unless They Know Enough About The Inside Situation. "If You Want To Participate In Transactions, You Can, But Unless You Really Understand The Internal Operations, You Must Not Hold Altcoins For A Long Time. This Is Essentially An Insider's Game, Just Like A Casino, And The Dealer Will Always Win In The End." Although Bitcoin Dominance Has Not Yet Fully Returned To Its Long-term Equilibrium, Woo Predicts That The Future Altcoin Season May Gradually Weaken
