[Australia Increased Aluminium Supply to U.S. After Russian Disruptions] Australian Trade Minister Don Farrell stated that Australia increased aluminium supply to the U.S. with Washington's approval to address concerns raised by the U.S. regarding a potential tariff exemption. This increase occurred following supply disruptions from Russia due to the Ukraine war, and with the full knowledge of the previous Biden administration. Australia, the world's sixth-largest aluminium producer, accounts for 1% of U.S. steel imports and 2% of U.S. aluminium imports.
