Since 2023, The Roosevelt Hotel Has Accommodated Over 173,000 Migrants. This Closure Follows The Shutdown Or Planned Shutdown Of 53 Other Migrant Shelters. The City Has Cared For Over 232,000 Migrants Since 2022 And Currently Has Fewer Than 45,000 In Its Care, Down From 69,000 In January 2024. These Efforts Are Projected To Save The City Over $5 Billion Over The Next Three Fiscal Years.
