Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Argen-X (EBR:ARGX), which rose 2.04% or 11.40 points to trade at 569.60 at the close. Meanwhile, KBC Groep NV (EBR:KBC) added 1.26% or 0.86 points to end at 68.96 and Umicore SA (EBR:UMI) was up 0.86% or 0.09 points to 10.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elia (EBR:ELI), which fell 3.42% or 2.90 points to trade at 81.90 at the close. Aedifica (EBR:AOO) declined 1.81% or 1.05 points to end at 57.05 and Cofinimmo SA (EBR:COFB) was down 1.66% or 0.95 points to 56.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 62 to 30 and 19 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.64% or 16.75 to $2,589.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.28% or 0.19 to hit $68.31 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.32% or 0.23 to trade at $72.12 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.56% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 106.39.
