Leading cryptocurrency Bitcoin is smashing through new all-time highs following the 2024 presidential election and is now valued significantly higher than many publicly traded companies.

What Happened: Bitcoin's market capitalization is currently $1.765 trillion. That’s larger than the combined market capitalization of the following five companies:

• Walmart Inc : $686.9 billion
• Netflix Inc : $349.7 billion
• Coca-Cola : $273.4 billion
• PepsiCo : $225.5 billion
• McDonald's Inc : $214.5 billion
• Total: $1.75 trillion

That's right. Bitcoin is worth more than the combined valuations of one of the world's largest retailers, a global streaming leader, two global beverage leaders, and a global fast-food chain.

Why It Matters: It’s worth noting that there are currently just nine global companies that have a market capitalization of $1 trillion or more. Bitcoin would take seventh place if it was considered a publicly traded company.

Based on Tuesday's market capitalization level, Bitcoin would currently rank between Saudi Aramco, which has a $1.807 trillion valuation, and Meta Platforms , which has a $1.476 trillion valuation.

Bitcoin has traded between $34,948.50 and $89,956.88 over the past year with the one-year high also setting a new all-time high on Nov. 12.

What’s Next: Bitcoin has blasted higher through multiple all-time highs. Traders and experts are now questioning if $100,000 is within reach by the end of the year.

If Bitcoin continues to trade higher, the leading cryptocurrency will likely continue to be more valuable than many of the most well-known global brands.

President-elect Donald Trump took a pro-crypto stance throughout the 2024 election campaign. Now, many industry experts expect the U.S. government to loosen sector regulations.

Salesforce’s shares have outperformed the Zacks Computer – Software industry over the past year (+58.7% vs. +21.3%). The Zacks analyst believes that the company’s sustained focus on aligning products with customer needs is driving growth. Continued deal wins in the international market are another growth driver. Salesforce’s strategy of continuous expansion of generative AI offerings are also helping it to tap the growing opportunities in the space.

Yet, stiff competition and unfavorable currency fluctuations are concerns. Softening IT spending amid ongoing macroeconomic uncertainties might hurt its growth prospects.

Shares of Cisco have outperformed the Zacks Computer - Networking industry over the last six months (+20.4% vs. +19.2%). Per the Zacks analyst, the launch of AI-powered Hypershield, which combines security and networking, has strengthened the company’s security portfolio. Also, its business model has evolved with subscription revenues accounting for more than half of total revenues.

Yet, Cisco has been suffering from sluggish networking sales as well as stiff competition. Its prospects are further challenged in the AI-driven networking space due to stiffening competition aggravated by Hewlett Packard’s deal to acquire Juniper.

BK Technologies’ shares have outperformed the Zack Wireless Equipment industry over the past year (+119.5% vs. +52.3%). The Zacks analyst believes that the growing demand for BKR 9000 and BKR 5000 radios have supported revenue growth. Also, a large order backlog and focus on innovation, such as the patented InteropONE solution, strengthens BK's market position.

However, reliance on government contracts, supply-chain risks and limited product diversification pose potential challenges.
