Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.93%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKRBP), which rose 4.40% or 9.60 points to trade at 227.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR) added 3.96% or 9.60 points to end at 252.25 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) was up 3.57% or 3.30 points to 95.86 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG), which fell 3.41% or 55.00 points to trade at 1,560.00 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) declined 2.36% or 0.28 points to end at 11.57 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was down 1.71% or 1.22 points to 70.26.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 179 to 97 and 28 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.81% or 1.20 to $67.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.87% or 1.30 to hit $70.76 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 3.19 to trade at $2,923.41 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.31% to 11.77, while USD/NOK fell 0.48% to 10.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 103.60.
