Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.83%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI), which rose 6.13% or 2.74 points to trade at 47.44 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) added 5.43% or 0.59 points to end at 11.46 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 4.96% or 3.16 points to 66.84 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL), which fell 11.40% or 12.30 points to trade at 95.60 at the close. Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) declined 1.93% or 3.50 points to end at 178.00 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) was down 1.63% or 2.40 points to 144.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 167 to 109 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) fell to 52-week lows; down 11.40% or 12.30 to 95.60.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 3.46% or 2.36 to $65.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.91% or 2.07 to hit $68.97 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 7.50 to trade at $2,928.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.19% to 11.79, while USD/NOK fell 1.01% to 10.96.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.07% at 104.56.
