Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Infrastructure, Agriculture and Basic Industry sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index fell 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Bumi Teknokultura Unggul Tbk (JK:BTEK), which rose 33.33% or 1.00 points to trade at 4.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Capitalinc Investment Tbk (JK:MTFN) added 25.00% or 1.00 points to end at 5.00 and Steady Safe TBK PT (JK:SAFE) was up 24.75% or 50.00 points to 252.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Venteny Fortuna International PT Tbk (JK:VTNY), which fell 18.89% or 34.00 points to trade at 146.00 at the close. DMS Propertindo Tbk PT (JK:KOTA) declined 16.67% or 1.00 points to end at 5.00 and Electronic City Indonesia Tbk (JK:ECII) was down 11.25% or 36.00 points to 284.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 395 to 244 and 201 ended unchanged.
Shares in DMS Propertindo Tbk PT (JK:KOTA) fell to all time lows; falling 16.67% or 1.00 to 5.00.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.16% or 0.86 to $75.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.97% or 0.75 to hit $77.80 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.03% or 0.71 to trade at $2,664.69 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.11% to 16,220.00, while AUD/IDR rose 0.10% to 10,105.30.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 108.68.
