Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Biomed, Communication and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.82%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp), which rose 2.01% or 27.00 points to trade at 1,372.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Camtek Ltd (TASE:CAMT) added 1.64% or 450.00 points to end at 27,850.00 and Melisron (TASE:MLSR) was up 1.01% or 320.00 points to 32,130.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which fell 2.89% or 3,180.00 points to trade at 107,020.00 at the close. Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) declined 2.83% or 74.00 points to end at 2,541.00 and Nova (TASE:NVMI) was down 2.39% or 2,300.00 points to 93,980.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 314 to 151 and 72 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.13% or 0.09 to $70.49 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.14% or 0.10 to hit $74.15 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.24 to trade at $2,952.96 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.35% to 3.58, while EUR/ILS rose 0.46% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 106.52.
