Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Holding Companies and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stokvis Nord Afrique (CSE:SNA), which rose 9.97% or 2.29 points to trade at 25.26 at the close. Meanwhile, Ciments Du Maroc (CSE:CMA) added 5.13% or 98.00 points to end at 2,008.00 and Realis. Mecaniques (CSE:SRM) was up 3.90% or 16.50 points to 439.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were IB Maroc Com SA (CSE:IBC), which fell 7.82% or 3.08 points to trade at 36.30 at the close. Maghreb Oxygene (CSE:MOX) declined 5.57% or 25.95 points to end at 440.00 and Salafin (CSE:SLF) was down 4.44% or 25.70 points to 553.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 32 to 19 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Stokvis Nord Afrique (CSE:SNA) rose to 5-year highs; rising 9.97% or 2.29 to 25.26. Shares in Ciments Du Maroc (CSE:CMA) rose to all time highs; gaining 5.13% or 98.00 to 2,008.00.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.33% or 0.91 to $67.46 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.73% or 1.24 to hit $70.38 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 18.69 to trade at $2,919.79 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.40% to 10.43, while USD/MAD fell 0.93% to 9.89.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.49% at 106.15.
