Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which rose 6.94% or 4.64 points to trade at 71.48 at the close. Meanwhile, Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 3.56% or 11.40 points to end at 331.40 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) was up 3.36% or 0.39 points to 11.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which fell 6.28% or 0.13 points to trade at 1.99 at the close. TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) declined 3.29% or 3.40 points to end at 99.90 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) was down 3.18% or 3.04 points to 92.56.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 146 to 123 and 31 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nel ASA (OL:NEL) fell to 5-year lows; down 6.28% or 0.13 to 1.99. Shares in Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGL) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.18% or 3.04 to 92.56.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.69% or 0.46 to $65.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.48% or 0.33 to hit $68.97 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 2.51 to trade at $2,923.49 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.08% to 11.75, while USD/NOK fell 0.34% to 10.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 103.99.
