Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 1.09%, while the SBF 120 index added 1.08%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Thales (EPA:TCFP), which rose 16.04% or 30.75 points to trade at 222.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) added 5.63% or 5.22 points to end at 97.88 and Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) was up 5.24% or 8.68 points to 174.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Carrefour SA (EPA:CARR), which fell 1.99% or 0.26 points to trade at 12.55 at the close. Schneider Electric SE (EPA:SCHN) declined 1.84% or 4.30 points to end at 229.65 and Kering SA (EPA:PRTP) was down 0.92% or 2.50 points to 268.60.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) which rose 68.14% to 2.02, Thales (EPA:TCFP) which was up 16.04% to settle at 222.40 and Dassault Aviation SA (EPA:AM) which gained 14.77% to close at 282.80.
The worst performers were Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) which was down 5.57% to 7.80 in late trade, Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which lost 2.98% to settle at 1.33 and Fnac Darty SA (EPA:FNAC) which was down 2.67% to 29.15 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 294 to 214 and 79 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.89% or 53.89 to $2,902.39 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.26% or 0.18 to hit $69.58 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.08% or 0.06 to trade at $72.75 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 1.13% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.00% at 106.48.
