Protagenic Therapeutics Prices $1.3 Million Placement

Shares of Champions Oncology, Inc. rose sharply in today's pre-market trading reported better-than-expected financial results for the first quarter on Wednesday.

The company reported quarterly earnings of 11 cents per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of a loss of $0.3 per share.

Champions Oncology shares jumped 13.5% to $4.55 in the pre-market trading.

• CN Energy Group. Inc. shares fell 25.9% to $1.03 in pre-market trading. CN Energy Group received Nasdaq notice that it is currently not in compliance with certain requirements under relevant listing rules.
• SMX (Security Matters) Public Limited Company shares declined 17.7% to $2.59 in pre-market trading after the company announced a $5.35 million private placement.
• FTC Solar, Inc. shares fell 16.4% to $0.3841 in pre-market trading. FTC Solar shares jumped 104% on Wednesday after the company announced that it has been selected by Strata Clean Energy to supply approximately 500 megawatts of its Voyager 2P solar tracker technology for multiple project sites in the U.S. and will be the preferred 2P solar tracker supplier over a three-year initial term.

US stocks look set to open flat to slightly higher in Tuesday's trading session as investors parse inflation data that came out earlier in the morning and look to the start of the Federal Reserve's two-day Federal Open Market Committee's last meeting of the year, and the rate policy announcement at its conclusion Wednesday.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were up 0.1%, S&P 500 futures nudged 0.1% lower, and Nasdaq futures gained 0.1%.

The Consumer Price Index, a meaure of inflation, rose 0.1% in November from October, while the 12-month inflation rate edged down to 3.1% from 3.2%, as expected. Core inflation, which excludes food and energy, was up 0.3% on the month and 4.0% year-over-year, which also met expectations.

And the Fed is expected to hold rates steady, according to the CME FedWatch Tool, which puts the probability at 98.4% and the chance of a quarter-point rate increase at 1.6%.

Oil prices were moving sharply lower, with front-month global benchmarks North Sea Brent crude and US West Texas Intermediate crude both declining 2.4%.

In other world markets, Japan's Nikkei gained 0.2% , Hong Kong's Hang Seng climbed 1.1%, and China's Shanghai Composite was up 0.4%. Meanwhile in Europe's early afternoon session, the UK's FTSE 100 was up 0.1%, while Germany's DAX fell 0.2% and France's CAC fell 0.02%.

On the winning side, shares of C4 Therapeutics soared 52% in Tuesday's premarket session after it said it signed a license and research collaboration deal with Merck (MRK) to develop degrader-antibody conjugates. Icosavax shares jumped 48% after it agreed to be acquired by AstraZeneca for up to $1.1 billion. Shares of IN8bio advanced 26% adding to Monday's 29% gain. Bruush Oral Care shares surged 26%, a day after it said it believes it has regained compliance for continued listing on Nasdaq. And shares of Protagenic Therapeutics climbed 26% adding to a nearly 2% gain the previous session.

On the losing side, shares of Harbor Custom Development plummeted 37%, after it said Monday that it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Achieve Life Sciences plunged 28% after it said Monday that the US Food and Drug Administration advised that long-term exposure data beyond 12 weeks would be needed to assess safety risk in a pre-New Drug Application meeting for cytisinicline. Shares of Assure tumbled 27%, wiping out Monday's 23% gain. Cheche Group shares also dropped 24%, adding to nearly 5% loss Monday. And shares Pasithea Therapeutics fell 21% after a 45% gain the previous day.
