Theriva Biologics Is Maintained at Buy by Maxim Group

Theriva Biologics, Inc. stock is trading higher after the company announced it was selected as a finalist for Merck’s KGaA’s EMEA Advance Biotech Grant.

What To Know: Finalists for the grant will present their projects to a six-judge panel from Merck’s Emerging Biotech group at BIO Europe 2024 in Stockholm, Sweden.

Theriva, specifically General Director of EU Subsidiary Manel Cascalló, will provide an overview of VCN-01, which is currently undergoing a Phase 2b clinical trial for first-line metastatic pancreatic cancer in conjunction with standard chemotherapy. The presentation is scheduled for Nov. 4.

Winners receive financial support and guidance on navigating the path to commercialization, including consultation with M Ventures.

Waters shares jumped 17% after the company's Q3 adjusted earnings and sales exceeded analysts' estimates. The firm also raised its 2024 earnings guidance.

Theriva Biologics shares surged 27% after it said late Thursday that it has been named as one of five finalists for Merck's Advance Biotech Grant.

Shares of Charter Communications, Inc. rose sharply in today's pre-market trading after the company reported better-than-expected third-quarter EPS and revenues.

Charter Communications reported fiscal third-quarter 2024 revenue growth of 1.6% year-on-year to $13.8 billion, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $13.7 billion. EPS of $8.82 beat the analyst consensus estimate of $8.67

Charter Communications shares rose 11.1% to $364.01 in the pre-market trading session.
