Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 2.55%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb), which rose 6.78% or 2.60 points to trade at 41.20 at the close. Meanwhile, SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb) added 6.12% or 21.30 points to end at 368.70 and Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) was up 5.84% or 8.90 points to 161.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which fell 3.45% or 0.14 points to trade at 3.82 at the close. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 1.78% or 29.00 points to end at 1,596.00 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 1.58% or 2.00 points to 124.65.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 473 to 303 and 69 ended unchanged.
Shares in SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 6.12% or 21.30 to 368.70.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 4.16% or 2.84 to $65.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 3.55% or 2.52 to hit $68.52 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 9.29 to trade at $2,929.89 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.23% to 11.03, while USD/SEK fell 1.67% to 10.23.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.24% at 104.38.
